Maybe You’ve Felt This Way Too (Dec News + 2 yoga therapy tools)

Not because I wanted to — but because that’s what I thought I had to do.
Everyone around me insisted that a yoga therapist should be serious, polished, universally appealing, and fit into the usual “fitness/ wellness” mold.
And because I was new and unsure, I believed them.
But if you know me — you know that’s not me at all.
I’m quirky.
I’m sensitive.
I love deep conversations more than small talk.
I connect intensely with people.
And honestly… I lead from that place in my work, too.
For years, I worried that wasn’t “professional” enough.
That being myself would somehow limit me.
But something shifted when I finally stopped trying to fit into that "definition".
To be honest, the growth came slowly at first—nothing fast or glamorous. It felt uncomfortable, like choosing the quieter road while everyone else rushed down the louder one.
But gradually, something beautiful began to happen.
They had real health goals, real emotional needs, real challenges…
and together, we worked on all of it from a place of genuine care rather than pressure.
